Garden Update

Just a little garden update here in AZ---our weather has been glorious-and basically because I can't think of anything else to blog about today......

Burgeoning grapevines, stretching to grasp the wire supports......

Little potato leaves emerging through the soil....

Beans sprouting forth and reaching for the sun....

My little neglected gerbera daisy plant...strugging to survive...rewards me with a happy pink blossom....

Some forgotten bulbs reaching for the sunshine....

Happy Spring

This Cracks Me Up

Lil' stinkbug.

Since my entire house is covered with tile, it is cold on little knees and feet. Plus the fact that she has a dress on....well this is her mode of transportation and that just adds up to a whole bunch of cuteness.

Why is this Woman Smiling?

What is the reason behind the joy on her face? It's because she finally went down and got properly fitted and purchased a new bra! She got sick and tired of the old girls sloshing around in their old container and just went and did it! She feels so uplifted and perky and happy....and she even went down a band size......

The Most Dreaded Job

Dreaded jobs....emptying the dishwasher. I don't know why I dislike it so much-it just annoys me. Loading the dishwasher? not a problem. And why don't my children do it? Well, in theory of course they could and they do, but I live in the real world and frankly sometimes it ain't gonna happen...... (isn't that why we have children-to use them as our little slaves??? I mean that's why they had big families in the "olden days" --to have more help on the farm)
So I came up with this genius idea--I copied Rachel Ray---you know how she piles up all the stuff she needs for her recipes and staggers to her prep counter-her arms piled full. So I think-hey, why not apply this to the dishes? So when emptying the dishwasher I see how many dishes I can stack per trip. So far there have been no disasters! It seems to have made the job less painful. And of course if I ever get sick of my dishes-well...... (now I know you must be thinking-this woman has WAY too much time on her hands to be displaying her stacked dishes and taking a photo of it-but I was actually practicing the aperture priority mode on my camera......)

Thought of the Day

From Elder Steve: "Daylight savings time is the dumbest thing ever invented. I tell people all the time that we don't do it in AZ 'cause we don't like to play with the way God made time."
