Me Duele el corazon

My heart is breaking.
We lost a dear, beloved member of our branch this morning.
I don't know what I'm going to do without her.
It wasn't unexpected.
But we didn't expect it.
And I'm trying to be strong
as the Relief Society President.
But inside I'm scared to death.
Because it's my first funeral.
And my heart is breaking.

Remember to delegate...everyone will want to help. Sorry for the loss at your little branch. She looks like a wonderfully sweet lady.

Ohhh I'm so sorry! Its hard enough to deal with a funeral when you are detached or didn't know the person well...but to LOVE her too? Awww I'm so sorry!! :(

Marilyn...you are not going to believe this! I was attending a funeral yesterday (we have had 4 RS sisters pass in a week and a half) when our RS President received a phone call 30 minutes before the service telling her that her husband's ex-stepmother had passed. She fell apart for a few minutes and quickly pulled it back together for she is also our organist. Her last name is Cluff ... I'm sure we are talking about the same woman.

My condolences go out to all of you! Was it President Hinckley who said,"Death is never convenient"? It's always a shock even when it's expected.

It's never easy to deal with the death of a ward member when you're the RS President! I've been in for 4 years now and we have about 5deaths a year. I hope it goes well and her family will feel peace. The Lord knows what you and your little branch needs! He'll provide.
