Another Random Idea

So anyway, in order to justify my time surfing the 'net, I actually do come across some really cool stuff......Here's something......

See this here jug?

Well, what do you do with it when it's empty?

Throw it away?

Of course not!

You rinse it out thoroughly, fill it up with water and then mark on it SOAPY WATER with your trusty magic Sharpie pen. (random side note-did you know that my son served on his mission in the town that is called the Capital of Sharpies????)

Then you put it on your food storage shelf to save the soapy water to use when all he// breaks loose and we don't have water. It could be used to wash dirty dishes, clothing, bodies, etc.

Great idea.......eh?.....yes......si?

Ok-well I thought it was an awesome idea.

I think that's a great idea! I love that it's something you can really USE. So much of my food storage is stuff I really don't use.
I know.... I'm trying to change that, but what do you do with 3 cases of powdered milk?

I just admit, I have never thought about storing soapy water before. I will have to do that!

Your brain is seriously incredible. You should be running a large company as a CEO.

That's a great idea.

I've been using vinegar as a laundry rinse, so I've been filling those bottles to store washing up water too.

I wanted to thank you for stopping by my website and taking the time to leave your very sweet comment. It made my day!

And I am working on posting more often. In fact, I have several batches of pictures taken to be used in posts, I just have to make the time to do the write ups to go with them. :o)

Cool. Don't forget you have a pool in your backyard too. I heard of some people in Texas who were able to use their pool water to bathe and wash dishes after the hurricane.

What a good idea! I hate throwing away plastic stuff...and I hate recycling...well it is just a pain around here...so this is the perfect solution. Thanks!
