Photo Day #10

Preserving Peas
5 lbs of peas harvested last week.
Peas are labor intensive!
1-Pick peas
2-Shell peas
3-Blanch peas in boiling water for 1 minute
4-Plunge strainer in ice water for a couple of minutes
5-Place in ziplock bag
6-Put in freezer
7-EAT!  yummmm

If only I'd ever tried fresh peas over canned..I bet I might like them then. way to go! You should feel super accomplished!

when i can my potatoes, I can them in chicken broth (granules mixed in the hot water). Makes them yummy!
