I ignored the promptings to harvest the lettuce and I ignored the promptings to cover the plants. So guess what happened.....waaaaa waaaaa waaaaa..
It froze last night!
Actually everything survived fairly well, considering. Some of the lettuce is wilted but I think we will salvage most of it. So lest you think I am the awesomest gardener ever......
Well, I'm not......

Oh no!!! I am so sorry about that. I didn't know it got that cold last night. I still think you are the awesomest gardner though. After all I have seen the pictures of the garden before Jack Frost. And about the queen picture . . . very funny!
OHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh NO!!!!
Nope ---YOU are still the QUEEN to me!!!
Whew! I couldn't even begin a garden knowing I had to compete with you. Now I know I can be human and still garden!
Waaaaaa, waaaaa, waaaaaa, my thoughts exactly when my garden froze in an early October Utah week of snow everyday! I was soooo sad :( I'm still in mourning for those tomatoes that would have lasted me into February if I'd pulled bushes and dragged them into the garage (wistful sigh . . .)

Love your blog site!
Ya ever wonder how the Queen gets that nasty hat/crown to stay on her head? Is that like double-sided tape under there? Heavy-duty bobby-pins?
You'd think her neck would be aching after having to wear that humongous wad of fabric and rocks for awhile. If I WERE QUEEN, I'd say, "Smaller, gents, smaller."
