Holy LongJohns!!!

We just got an unexpected email from our Elder Bubba D.....He just got transferred......to
Nome, Alaska!!
Pop: 3500 + 1 Arizona boy
Not as cold as Fairbanks: But windy
On the Bering Strait
Lots of native people
His words: "So stoked."
There has never been missionaries in the area.
He's opening it up with two other Elders.
He's right across the water from Russia.....
Holy LongJohns......

Oh, wow!! How exciting is that! To be chosen to open an area--especially when you are so youg in your mission is really an honor! Congrats to him! I wish him well.

Never mind he's opening a completely new area. Or that he's close to Russia and all that stuff. My husband and son LOVE the hat!

My family says Nome has no trees and he might see a polar bear! And if you get a chance, watch The Fourth Kind. It takes place in Nome.
