Flashback Friday

Warning: This post will be boring to anyone except my family......

I was reading Shar's narrative about Mt. Graham and getting all sentimental about our trips to the mountain. Since the family has gotten so huge it is nigh near impossible to go to Mt. Graham anymore.....but I rummaged through my moth-eated photos (JK) and came up with some essentials for Mt. Graham:Food-plenty of FOOD. Especially peanut M&Ms. (we pretty much eat for 12 hours a day)

Cable swing-creates semi-terrifying moments (if you are afraid of speed and heights) (I think this is of Bubba D in about 1997)

Cards: Us folks take our pitch games very seriously (and even "cheaters" with the initials TL and SA and RR)

Horseshoes-again-a very serious sport.....

Finally...the piece 'o resistance...

Bows and arrows...Sorry Kassi & Jess-this photo makes me giggle. A time-honored tradition-making bows and arrows. Keeps the Dads and kids extremely busy for hours.

And there's more....getting carsick each and every time we go...good, clean, cool mountain air.......dead rats in the bathroom........ice cold mountain water.....making "houses with pine needles...dodging bears.......memories of family & fun!

Yeah, Justin has good things to say about the cabin too. Although, he has never mentioned bears! Looks like alot of fun!

I wish we had a cabin near all of us and big enough to fit the whole family. It was so fun when I was younger!

I remember sweeping pine needles to make forts :) And the skits...and yes of course I remember the peanut M & M's...I always wondered where I got hooked on those

Thanks for the memories!!

Wow! Those pictures take me back. I used to love going to the cabin. I remember making skits with all my cousins, and sleeping in a cabin with TL snoring away. I don't know if I ever slept that time!
