Long Overdue Tag

I got tagged oh....a month or so ago by my sweet friend, Debbie, who is one of the nicest people I know. Get this, when she moved into our ward, she hosted a luncheon for a bunch of people so she could get to know everyone-how nice is that??? So here goes:

Three joys
1. Hanging out with TL. We like to "hang out" and do stuff together-which we are doing a lot more these days since he is still recuperating and trying to change his stressful lifestyle.
2. My family-next to TL, I LOVE hanging out with my kids. As they have grown up-they are some of my favorite people. I loved it as they got older and even when they were teenagers-I loved to just visit and talk and laugh with them in the family room..
3. Learning- I LOVE to learn. I have discovered this as I have gotten older but honestly, I get a real "buzz" from learning new things-especially the gospel and other things I am interested in- like Spanish.......

Three fears
1. Getting a terrible disease. I have struggled with being a hypochondriac for years and still struggle with not overanalyzing every sniffle!
2. Losing one of my kids or spouse. Man oh man-sometimes I used to lay awake at night when they were late coming home with sweat dripping off me worrying that something terrible had happened. Still do this......
3. Doing tags on blogs......part of the reason I put this off is that I have a hard time exposing my deepest feelings to the world.......

Three goals
1. Learning Spanish-I have had a passion for this for years and I am finally getting more practice! I love my Latin brothers and sisters so much! This leads me to my next goal
2. Mission- TL & I want to serve a mission in a Latin American country-(although I am somewhat fearful of this too!)
3. Living more self reliantly Almost all our married life we have wanted to live in a more rural setting-or at least in the city with a little more land. Currently I am frustrated because my garden is so small and I can't have chickens......TL is a farm boy so we would love to have room for horses...

Three latest obsessions
1. Healthy eating I am searching the internet and cookbooks and books for any and all information on healthy eating. We are trying to change our lifestyle more (and dragging our teenagers kicking and screaming with us!) I am a semi-granola anyway....see here...
2. Self Reliance & Food Storage Again-surfing the web-working on a really tightened budget to pay off debts-working hard on food storage and preserving food......
3. Reading I am doing a lot more reading these days and plan to sign up for goodreads and read some classics......
I seem to go from obsession to obsession but these are the current "obsessions du jour." Past ones have been quilting, sewing & scrapbooking and I still love and do those but I don't think about them 12 hours a day currently.....

Three Surprising Facts
1. I could probably be a hermit- I'm really happy being home alone-being alone doesn't bother me. I like civilization but I am not a super socialite...
2. I love the book of Isaiah- I know, I know-I am the weirdest person on earth but I absolutely love studying the book of Isaiah and the Old Testament. It is fascinating and uplifting and we can learn SO MUCH from studying this book-truly a testament of Jesus Christ.
3. I secretly enjoy reading the trash celebrity magazines. SHOCKING- I know-I try to stay away from them-but sometimes when you are getting a pedicure the only thing to read is a dumb trashy celebrity mag (never National Enquirer-stuff like People and Us) Maybe a new goal should be to bring my Old Testament and study Isaiah while I'm getting a pedicure!

Ok-{heaving a big sigh of relief} I did it.....

Okay-now I tag my darling daughters-who don't have time to blog....and my darling nieces whose blogs I LOVE to read every day.... and my sisters who only blog once a month.....and anyone else who is interested!

Hi Marilyn,

sorry about the egg slacking. I am awaiting on my medicine refill as now my bladder/stomach hurts for a few days. I have acid reflux and I am out of medicine. Just staying close to home until Wed. so, how about wed sometime for the eggs?
You will love them and so sorry.
What time?

And yes, you are fab. and need chickens as you love to grow things like me and love good life with fresh stuff like me.

Ok, for the eggs again, buy one dozen get one free, for my slackerness ok?

You will notice a difference and i am glad you are so patient.

If you ever have a nice rural community, I shall if I have, some baby chicks. I do have two hens laying on eggs now. One since May 25th, so we should have babies soon.

They are having their own incuberator with this heat, but, are in the shade laying on them as this is smart.

Hope to see you manana Marilyn and you name the time, and I will be there.
